7/15/11

I was supposed to have a case today at noon so I headed out to Lakewood around 10 this morning. When I was just about to the hospital the technologist, Erica, called me to tell me that the surgery was being moved to a center that I would not have access to. I drove the rest of the way to the hospital to check it out and make sure I could find it easily next time and then headed home. At the hotel I began looking at the benefits packages, working on the online tutorials, and writing my blog :)

One other thing...outside the hotel there are tons of little mounds that prairie dogs are always popping in and out of. Whenever you get about 12 feet away they start yapping and wagging their tails as they yap. They are the most ridiculous little things.

I headed downtown around 5 when Sylvia was getting off of work. Sylvia got me a pass to park in the parking lot by her law firm and I met Sylvia and Maggie (Sylvia's friend from work who is in law school in Philadelphia and just interning here for the summer) at a little Mexican restaurant down the street. We got a little something to eat and then started walking to Coors Field where the Rockies baseball game was. It amazes me how many "medical marijuana" places there are in Colorado. You can see what one vendor looks like below.
Before the game we went to the Tavern which is a bar with a huge rooftop to meet 3 more of Sylvia's friends who were helping us get into the section close to the field! You can see the Tavern and all the people on the roof in the picture below. It is to the right of the light pole.

Here is a picture of Maggie and Sylvia at the Tavern on the rooftop. It was packed with people, but really cool, and had good views of the downtown area.
At the Rockies game! We won the game and had a lot of fun! We sat behind Sylvia's three friends from law school. I got some nachos!

We weren't ready to go home after the game so we went to Hayter's and then Tavern again before going home.
